Top Safety Accreditation Award
Aberdeen Alarm Company is Awarded a Top Safety Accreditation
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for our commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.
A leading third party accreditation scheme, Safecontractor, recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.
Having recently reported strong growth, Aberdeen Alarm Company has many business clients of varying size, operating across a range of sectors in addition to our loyal domestic customers. Our application for Safecontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business.
"We are delighted to have our commitment to excellence in health and safety recognised with Safecontractor Accreditation. We believe that this allows new customers to approach us confident in the knowledge that we will deliver high standards and confirm our existing customers' prior experience."
Safecontractor accreditation will enhance the company's ability to attract new contracts and we believe our commitment to safety will be viewed positively by insurers when company liability policies are up for renewal.
Applicable to most sectors, Safecontractor accreditation is particularly relevant to sectors which are big users of contracted services like food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail, and leisure sectors. Being seen to uphold very high standards in health and safety is of paramount importance to our clients when taking on a fire safety or security contractor.
John Kinge, Technical Director of Safecontractor said, "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."
"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Aberdeen Alarm Company has done. The firm's high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector."
"Safecontractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process."
Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies that meet the high standard required are included on a database which is accessible only to registered users via a website.
Client organisations who wish to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site, can sign up to the scheme and gain access to the database. Signing up to the scheme, clients agree that, as users of the scheme, they will engage only contractors who have received accreditation through the Safecontractor scheme.
As proud advocates of the scheme and accreditation holders, Aberdeen Alarm Company encourage client organisations to join the over 210 major, nationwide businesses, from several key sectors, who have already signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work as well as that of our own area: fire safety and security.
